A B1 Battle Droid or commonly known as a Battle Droid is a Battle Droid used for the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars era. They mainly designed for battle but they had variants. The B2 Super Battle Droid was the upgraded B1 Battle Droid but they lacked speed. B1 Battle Droids made a comeback for the New Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Last of the Droids helping their new leader fight the war between the Galactic Empire.

Characteristics[]
Originally created for protecting riches, B1 Battle Droids were used for the Trade Federation during the Pre-Clone Wars era. When the Trade Federation joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems, B1 Battle Droids were sold to the Confederacy and programmed for war. Neimoidians, being paranoid, made B1 Battle Droids very stupid so they won't go up to them and rebel; however, the droids were allowed to develop personality quirks.
After the Clone Wars ended, B1s were shut down and never used again. When TF-1726 and his Commander Droid were revived, they went across the galaxy, rebuilt many B1 Battle Droids and used them for fighting the Galactic Empire. The B1 Battle Droid has a straight body and a long neck, which was destined to look like a skeleton, to strike fear into the hearts of enemies. They carried an E-5 Blaster rifle and sometimes Rocket Launchers and Thermal Detonators. B1s were smaller than B2 Super Battle Droids and are part of the B-series battle droids.

Invasion of Ponyville[]
B1 Battle Droids were transported on Providence-class carrier/destroyers and Munificent-class star frigates during the 1st Invasion of Equestria. 2 B1s appeared with Grievous when he came out of the CIS Shuttle to talk the Mane 6 and Princess Celestia. After they refused to join the Confederacy, Grievous ordered his B1 Battle Droids to kill the ponies as he called TF-1726 to send the Invasion force. Twilight destroyed the 2 B1s with her magic as more droids came to attack. Over 1,000 B1 Battle Droids landed on Equestria and tried to attack the Mane 6 and the Princess. After the battle, the Ponies surrendered to the CIS and B1 Battle Droids started to build their Confederate Outpost.
